- What do you think about the government’s plans for welfare reform?
- Are you able to access healthcare in the way you want to?
- Do you have choice and control over all areas of your life?
- How is localism affecting you?
We are now expanding our database of disabled people who may be interested in shaping policies, changing legislation and influencing positive change in key organisations such as local authorities, healthcare settings and social services. Breakthrough UK has a strong track record as a thought leader; engagement and co-production with local disabled people are a vital part of how we do this.
We are looking for local disabled people who would be interested in contributing – in a way that suits you – to research projects, consultation responses and reports. There is no minimum time commitment involved and we will only contact you about topics which you have expressed an interest in. In exchange we can offer out of pocket expenses, occasional incentives or prize draws and we will keep you up to date with important information on policy trends which could have an impact on your life.
To register your interest in this, please contact Elaine Astley, Policy and Research Assistant, at e.astley@breakthrough-uk.co.uk, or tel 0161 273 5412. Please tell us about any relevant access requirements when you get in touch.
If you are reading this and do not live in Greater Manchester, please do still get in touch as we are developing a national database of interested people also.
