Policy Development

The Policy Think Tank is a Breakthrough UK initiative and has two major aims:- To influence government, or other strategic bodies, on matters to do with disability, from a ‘social model’ perspective. And to provide briefings on current matters to do with disability, for general dissemination.

We send out a regular e-bulletin covering policy developments around disability, employment and independent living. Past copies can be accessed from this page. You can sign up to receive this bulletin by filling in the 'Sign up for e-news' box at the bottom of the main homepage. Our latest bulletin came out on 22nd November 2011.

We have been invited to contribute directly to a new cross-government disability strategy. We would like to gather the views of local disabled people about what you think should be in the strategy at an event on 22nd February.
