Visual Arts Coordinator – 37.5 hours per week, £23,460 per annum plus staff benefits

The Lowry is an internationally acclaimed cultural landmark situated at the heart of MediaCityUK, one of the world’s most exciting culture and media destinations. The Lowry’s visual arts offer combines a programme of contemporary art, curated and developed in-house, alongside being home to the LS Lowry Collection.

As part of the Galleries team, the Visual Arts Coordinator will provide administrative and creative support including coordinating arrangements for exhibition loans, liaising with artists and contractors, ensuring appropriate technical support for installations and supporting collections management requirements.

Applicants will have an active interest in modern and contemporary art, with experience of fine art handling and coordinating exhibition loans. A team player with meticulous administrative and planning skills, you will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Please note that the working hours for this role may include weekends and unsociable hours.

Assistant Accountant – 37.5 hours per week, up to £22,000 per annum (subject to experience) plus staff benefits

The Lowry is an internationally acclaimed cultural landmark situated at the heart of MediaCityUK, one of the world’s most exciting culture and media destinations.

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to provide support to the management accounts team and assist with all aspects of the financial accounting, management reporting and all related financial matters for all companies within The Lowry Centre Trust Group.

You will be responsible for liaising with departmental managers to ensure correct accounting and reporting of all financial activities and on occasion be required to liaise with external auditors.

Excellent communication skills, a background of working within a finance department and an understanding of statutory accounting rules and accounting standards are essential. The ideal candidate will be suitably experienced in accountancy and would be keen to work towards an accountancy qualification. (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
