Get support Services for you Pathways Course Pathways Independent Living Skills and Pre Employability Courses Pathways is a custom-made training course to develop essential skills and provide peer support. Pathways is made up of two parallel eight week courses of weekly group sessions. The first is focussed on independent living skills, the second is more directly focussed on pre-employment skills and getting ready to enter the workplace. Clients are given the freedom to identify their own needs, aspirations and the barriers that currently stand in their way, and are encouraged to use their shared experience to support one another. Pathways is funded with the support of the Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales. Pathways is made up of three parts: Independent Living Skills Sessions dedicated to employability skills Meaningful short term work placements and on-going job search support from Breakthrough. You can start at either stage depending on what support you want. Independent living Skills Course Independent living skills can be important in your route to employment. The course covers the following: Self advocacy, self confidence Connecting with the community Travel training and confidence Money management Health and wellbeing Creativity Pre Employability Course This course cover the following: Skills and motivation The world of work CV and applications Customer service Interview technique and practice Each session lasts for 3 hours. You can access these courses at different venues across Greater Manchester. Our next two Pathways courses will be starting soon: Independent Living - Tuesday 30 April in the community room at Asda Eastlands. Pre-Employment Weds 1 May at Benchill Community Centre.
