Pathways Independent Living Skills course and Pre Employment course

The Pathways course is in 3 parts:

  1. The first part is on Independent Living Skills. These are skills that can help you live your own life in the way you choose.
  2. The second part is on employability skills. These are skills for helping you to find work.
  3. Work placements and support to find jobs.

Independent Living Skills Course

The course is in 6 parts:

  • Self advocacy and self confidence. Self advocacy means that you can speak up for yourself without being told what to say.
  • Getting involved with things that are happening in your area
  • Travelling to places on your own
  • Looking after your money
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Being creative

Pre Employability Course

This course is in 5 parts:

  • Skills and keeping yourself busy
  • Learning about the world of work
  • How to do your CV and apply for jobs
  • Customer service
  • Practicing what to do during an Interview

Each meeting will last between 2 and 3 hours.

The courses are held at different places across Greater Manchester.
